Actress Pauline Quirke officially opened the Amersham & Wycombe College ‘End of Year Show’ at the Amersham Campus in Stanley Hill, on June 16.

The former Birds of a Feather star said she was ‘blown away’ by the quality of work on display and the outstanding facilities and courses offered by the college.

The show is the culmination of months of hard graft by Art, Design and Media students and a major highlight of the college year. The college’s visual arts have an excellent reputation and two major national quality marks reflecting the high standards of teaching and facilities.

These include a Grade 1 (Outstanding) rating from Ofsted and the recognition of the college as a Centre of Vocational Excellence for Digital Arts, Design and Media. Special events during the week included a Motion Capture demonstration, a fashion show, music performances, a Film Festival by media and animation students and a performance of The Tempest by drama students.
